I’ve been ranting how badly I need a portable drive before because of the very limited memory space of my computer. Now, I gladly reveal that I finally acquired it and it was on sale when I purchase. A savings of $10 is quite a pretty good deal, isn’t it? The good thing about my portable drive is it is 1 terabyte not only 500 megabytes. For its original price of $79 and the memory capacity, I therefore say that I obtained absolutely a good deal. Other than that, it is USB 3.0, so meaning faster than the USB 2.0.
Fortunately, the search has been ended. I have tons of photos needed to be in the right storage, songs to download, important documents long for a secure place, etc. But my question is, are my important files secure in this portable drive that has been used by so many?
I have a nightmare already with a burnt flash drive containing my unrecovered important files. No matter how I convinced the technician to fix the kind of storage so I could retrieve back the files, but it was just a waste of time. As much as possible, I would like to evade such unwanted scenario. Any of your tips to preserve the life span of any portable drive is highly appreciated folks.
